Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Sunday said his government is committed to holistic development for all sections of society, with dedicated missions underway for the welfare of farmers, youth, women, and the underprivileged.

“Development for all is our pledge, and we will ensure this by fulfilling every promise,” the CM asserted while addressing villagers at Jagdishpur in Berasia Assembly constituency of Bhopal district, at the historic Chaman Mahal, a state-protected monument.

On the occasion, Dr Yadav administered the ‘Swadeshi Oath’ to the villagers, urging them to replace imported goods with Indian-made alternatives and to adopt eco-friendly products. Extending advance greetings for Navratri, Dussehra, and Diwali, he appealed to citizens to celebrate festivals with only Swadeshi and Made-in-India products.

Raising the slogan “Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar-Ghar Swadeshi,” he emphasised that supporting local products helps micro, small, medium, and cottage industries, spreading festive joy to artisans, craftsmen, and potters.

The Chief Minister also informed farmers about the ‘Bhavantar Yojana’, urging them to register between October 5 and 25. He said soybeans sold between November 1, 2025, and January 31, 2026, would be covered under the scheme. If a farmer is unable to sell soybeans at the minimum support price of ₹5,328 per quintal, the government will bridge the gap between the market price and the support price to ensure full value.

Dr Yadav visited stalls displaying Swadeshi items such as clay lamps, stoves, earthen pots, festive articles, and household essentials, purchasing several items directly with cash. He was welcomed with a sapling and raisins.

He also honoured three women—Vijaymala, Geeta Bai, and Phoolwati Bai—by gifting them saplings under the ‘Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, and planted a Kadamba tree at the Chaman Mahal premises.

Later, the CM joined local self-help group members to listen to the 126th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’. In his address, the Prime Minister appealed to citizens to celebrate festivals with Swadeshi products, making “Vocal for Local” the mantra of shopping. He said buying Indian-made goods honours local artists and craftsmen.

PM Modi also paid heartfelt tributes to martyr Bhagat Singh and legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar on their birth anniversaries, noting that ‘Jyoti Kalash Chhalke’ remains his favourite song by Lataji. He highlighted the growing popularity of Khadi over the past 11 years and urged people to pledge to buy at least one Khadi garment on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2, as a mark of pride in Swadeshi.

Greeting citizens on Chhath Puja, the PM said efforts are underway to include the festival in UNESCO’s list of cultural heritage, as Kolkata’s Durga Puja already holds that recognition. He also praised the courage of two sisters who embarked on a boat journey to Antarctica, and paid rich tributes to music icons Bhupen Hazarika and Zubeen Garg.
