Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday offered tributes to Maa Kushmanda, the fourth manifestation of Goddess Durga, on the fourth day of the Navratri festival.

In a message shared on his official X handle, PM Modi expressed reverence for the goddess and sought her blessings for the well-being and prosperity of all citizens.

“During Navratri, today I offer my repeated salutations to the fourth form of Devi Mata, Maa Kushmanda! I pray to the resplendent Devi Maa, who shines like the sun, that she blesses all her devotees with prosperity and happiness. May her divine light illuminate everyone’s life,” PM Modi said.

Maa Kushmanda is venerated for her cosmic role in creating the universe with a gentle smile. According to Hindu mythology, she is the source of all energy and light, symbolizing vitality and new beginnings.

On this auspicious day, devotees traditionally wear royal blue, a color symbolizing elegance, dignity, and divine strength.

The fourth day of Navratri holds special significance in the nine-day festival, with devotees seeking Maa Kushmanda’s blessings for strength, wisdom, and good fortune.
