Despite facing multiple black swan events, India has continued to remain the world’s fastest-growing major economy, Amit Malviya said.

Debangshu Bhattacharya, state spokesperson of TMC, said: “A 300 mm rainfall has occurred in Kolkata in 4 hours. Does Amit Malviya, the BJP’s ‘two-rupee troll,’ know this? Has he forgotten the situation in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, and Surat just a few days ago? There are still plenty of videos available on various social media platforms! Is Narendra Modi responsible for those? Will the BJP take responsibility for them?
“Kolkata last experienced such rainfall 40 years ago. Even then, this amount of rain fell over two to three days. But this time, the same amount of rain has occurred in just 4 hours. If this much rain had fallen in Gujarat in such a short period, Amit Shah’s shiny bald head would have been submerged under water!

When floods occur in other parts of India, they express a deluge of prayers for the affected city or state! But when it happens in West Bengal or Kolkata, they start blaming the government. The people of Bengal will not tolerate this kind of hypocrisy.”

TMC MP Ritabrata Banerjee added: this was the third highest single-day rainfall in September in recorded history. Instead of showing compassion, the BJP has shown the typical brand of doing politics over dead bodies and also injecting communal venom into the discourse.”
