He also highlighted that the festival is an opportunity to promote the mantra of Swadeshi.
In a post on handle X, PM Modi wished that the festival, filled with devotion, courage, restraint, and determination, brings new strength and new faith into everyone’s life.

“Infinite Navratri greetings to all of you. May this sacred festival, filled with devotion, courage, restraint, and determination, bring new strength and new faith into everyone’s life. Jai Mata Di!” PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of Navratri, a festival that embodies the spirit of devotion and self-discipline.
He noted that the festival is a special occasion for worship and rituals, and prayed for the blessings of Mother Shailputri, the first form of Goddess Durga worshipped during Navratri.
“Today, during Navratri, is the special day for the worship and rituals of Mother Shailputri. My wish is that, with the Mother’s affection and blessings, everyone’s life may be filled with good fortune and good health,” PM Modi said.
PM Modi also emphasized the importance of promoting Swadeshi (indigenous products) and self-reliance during the festival. He noted that the GST Savings Festival, which coincides with Navratri, presents a timely opportunity to promote the Swadeshi movement and support a self-reliant India.
“This time, this auspicious occasion of Navratri is very special. Along with the GST Savings Festival, the mantra of Swadeshi is going to receive a new energy during this period. Let us come together in collective efforts for the fulfillment of the resolve for a developed and self-reliant India,” PM Modi said.
PM Modi also shared a soulful rendition of a Bhajan by the late Pandit Jasraj, highlighting the importance of devotion and music during Navratri. He invited people to share their favorite Bhajans with him, promising to post some of them in the coming days.
