Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Gujarat on September 20, where he will participate in the ‘Samudra se Samriddhi’ event and inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs 34,200 crore in Bhavnagar, his office said in a release.

The projects span various sectors, including maritime, LNG infrastructure, renewable energy, highways, healthcare, and urban transport.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for maritime sector projects worth over Rs 7,870 crore.

PM Modi will also inaugurate the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal at Indira Dock and will lay the foundation stone for a new container terminal and associated facilities at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, and a new container berth at Paradip Port.

The PM will also lay the foundation stone for the Tuna Tekra Multi-Cargo Terminal. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for ship repair facilities at Patna and Varanasi.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 26,354 crore in various sectors, including the HPLNG Regasification Terminal at Chhara Port, the 600 MW Green Shoe Initiative, and lay the foundation stone for additional renewable energy projects. Furthermore, he will lay the foundation stone for the four-laning of 70 km of national highways.

During his visit, PM Modi will also review the progress of the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) at Lothal, being developed at a cost of around Rs 4,500 crore. The complex aims to celebrate and preserve India’s ancient maritime traditions and serve as a centre for tourism, research, education, and skill development.

The Prime Minister will undertake an aerial survey of the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR), envisioned as a greenfield industrial city built around sustainable industrialisation, smart infrastructure, and global investment.
