The Rajya Sabha Secretariat is hosting the “Hindi Pakhwada 2025” celebration from September 14 to 28, a press note from the Upper House Secretariat said.
The event kicked off on Monday with a Hindi essay and general knowledge competition, as well as a Hindi translation and general knowledge competition.

The Pakhwada will feature various competitions, including computer-based Hindi typing, calligraphy, debate, and poetry recitation. A workshop will also be organised to promote the practical and creative use of Hindi.
The primary goal of the celebration is to strengthen Hindi as the official language and encourage its use among employees.

The Pakhwada will conclude with a prize distribution ceremony and the launch of the 20th edition of the annual Hindi in-house magazine, “Nutan Pratibimb.”
The Rajya Sabha Secretariat aims to promote the use of Hindi among its employees through this celebration. The event is expected to foster a sense of awareness, ownership, and pride in the language among the Secretariat’s staff.
