India made a dream start, with Mumtaz opening the scoring in just the second minute through a fierce reverse-stick strike from the top of the circle. Neha quickly doubled the lead in the 11th minute, capitalising on a rebound, before Lalremsiami (13’) and Navneet (14’) piled on to make it 4-0 by the end of the first quarter.
Singapore showed greater resistance in the second quarter, but Navneet proved unstoppable, scoring twice more, first with a blistering strike in the 20th minute and then completing her hat-trick from a penalty corner in the 28th. Udita added another a minute later, giving India a 7-0 cushion at half-time.
The dominance continued after the break. Mumtaz struck her second in the 32nd minute, set up by Lalremsiami, before Neha bagged her brace in the 38th. Mumtaz completed her hat-trick soon after, and by the end of the third quarter, Sharmila made it 11-0 off a rebound from India’s 12th penalty corner.
In the final phase, India maintained their relentless pressure. Pisal’s smart deflection in the 53rd minute sealed the dozen, leaving Singapore without answers despite a late push for a consolation.
With this win, India not only marched into the Super 4s unbeaten but also sent a strong message to their continental rivals.
The Salima Tete-led side will next face the second-placed team from Pool A on September 10.
