Bhutan’s PM Daso Tshering Tobgay, along with his wife, Tashi Doma, paid obeisance to Ram Lalla here on Friday. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tobgay is the second PM to visit Ram Lalla.

The Bhutan Prime Minister reached Ayodhya Airport from Gayaji in Bihar by a special Indian Air Force plane as per his scheduled programme at 9:30 am. As a representative of the state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the foreign delegation was welcomed by Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, along with senior officials of the Ministry of External Affairs, the government, the administration, and the police.

The Bhutanese PM reached Ram Mandir at 10:00 am and stayed for one hour and 40 minutes. He visited Ramlala and Ram Darbar. The visiting PM and his wife also visited the temples of Kuber Tila, Jatayu, and Sapta Mandapam. They also admired the mural installed around the lower plinth as well as the bronze mural installed on the wall of the rampart.

The Bhutanese PM kept capturing pictures of the Ramjanmabhoomi complex from his mobile. He liked the carving of Ram Mandir very much and was very happy during the darshan and tour of Ram Mandir.

He prostrated three times before Ramlala, performed aarti, offered flowers, and took the Charanamrit Prasad.

From Ram Mandir, the Prime Minister reached Hotel Ramayan. They were welcomed with a cultural programme in the traditional style of Bhutan.

On the initiative of the state government, a lunch was organised in PM Tobgay’s honour by the district administration. Later, he left for New Delhi by Indian Air Force plane.

Prime Minister Tobgay, accompanied by his spouse, is on an official visit to India from September 3 to 6.
