The Allahabad High Court has cleared the way for the release of the much-awaited film ‘Jolly LLB 3’. On Thursday, the court dismissed a petition that had asked for a ban on the movie, saying there was nothing offensive in its trailer against lawyers or the legal profession.

The case was heard by a Lucknow bench of Justices Sangeeta Chandra and BR Singh. The petition was filed by JY Shukla, who argued that the trailer of the film showed lawyers in poor light and could damage the image of the profession.

However, after watching the official teasers and trailers, the court said there was no objectionable content.

The judges clearly stated that they had also reviewed the song “Bhai Vakeel Hai” from the film and found nothing insulting that could interfere with the work of genuine advocates.

Then the bench concluded that there was no reason to stop the release of the movie.

‘Jolly LLB 3’ is written and directed by Subhash Kapoor and continues the popular courtroom comedy-drama franchise. This new chapter will once again bring back Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, both playing the role of lawyers named Jolly.

The film also stars Saurabh Shukla. He has been a central character throughout the series. Other stars in the film are Amrita Rao, Huma Qureshi, and Annu Kapoor.

The teaser of the movie, which was released on 12 August 2025, gave fans a glimpse of what’s to come. It shows a heated courtroom battle between the two Jollys.

The film is going to hit theatres on 19 September 2025, and expectations among fans are high.
