He suggested that government officials dealing with RTI matters should be provided with proper training in various training institutions.

He stated that awareness should be created among people in tribal areas in remote districts to take advantage of the RTI Act for the redressal of their grievances.

The members of the Commission submitted that proper digitalisation has been introduced for the disposal of cases. Appellants can now file appeals online, and orders passed by the Commission are available to the general public on its official website.

The Governor advised the Commissioners to visit different district headquarters and hold hearings so that the appellants do not have to travel to Bhubaneswar for the hearings. The Governor also advised the Commission to expedite the disposal of cases and reduce pendency to the minimal level. Commissioners Susanta Kumar Mohanty, Jagannath Rath, Pranabindu Acharya, Pabitra Mandal, and Kalpana Pattnaik attended the meeting and thanked the Governor for the opportunity to brief him on the Commission’s activities.
