The BJYM workers were protesting against Rahul Gandhi over the alleged abusive remarks used against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a Mahagathbandhan event in Darbhanga on Wednesday.
While the Congress has clarified that Rahul Gandhi and other Opposition leaders were not present at the stage when Hindi expletives were used against PM Modi, the BJP slammed the Opposition leader for using derogatory language against the Prime Minister.
The Congress party said that Rahul Gandhi, his sister and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi, and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav had already left the stage when the alleged incident took place.
Later, the police identified the accused as Mohammad Rizvi alias Raza and arrested him from Darbhanga’s Singhwara.
