A day after the release of Judicial Commission report on the Sambhal violence, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asserted that the double-engine government would not allow the demography to change.
At a programme in Pratapgarh, citing some portion of the commission’s report on how Hindus were selectively targeted during the time of the Samajwadi Party and Congress, he said, “Hindus were reduced to a minority as their population constantly declined, so much so that the area was rendered Hindu-less through atrocities.”

He asserted that the double-engine government won’t allow the demography to change. Whoever tries to change the demography will be forced to migrate. “If anyone tries to change the demography, he will be forced to migrate.”

The three-member judicial commission constituted to investigate the Sambhal violence in Uttar Pradesh on November 24, 2024 has drawn several conclusions from the decline in Hindu population and the claim made by Hindus that Jama Masjid was a Shiva temple. The judicial commission submitted a 450-page report to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday.
Former Director General of Police AK Jain and retired Additional Chief Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad were the members of the inquiry commission constituted under the chairmanship of retired Justice DK Arora of Allahabad High Court.
Taking a dig at the previous governments in the state under the Samajwadi Party and the Congress, the chief minister, the chief minister said, “We are moving towards empowerment through satisfaction, not appeasement. Hence, every citizen is getting the benefit of the government’s schemes without discrimination under the BJP dispensation.”
