Officials said the duo was arrested on Sunday afternoon near Khera Canal in Shahbad Dairy, Rohini following a planned operation.“After receiving a tipoff, the team intercepted the suspects after intel that they were regrouping in Delhi for another attack on the gang’s orders,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Amit Kaushik said.

Adding to his statement, he said, “While the team went to intercept them, one of the accused tried to pull out a pistol to fire at the police team, but both were overpowered before they could open fire.”
Mentioning the confiscation, the DCP said the police have seized a pistol, four live cartridges, and a mobile phone from the suspects.
The two men were allegedly working on the directions of the jailed gangster Neeraj Faridpuria and his associate Himanshu Bhau, who had arranged weapons, funds, and logistics for the attack on Yadav’s house on August 17.
“After their revelation, the duo owned up the Gurugram incident, confessing that they tried to escape towards the Indo-Nepal border but were called back for a fresh assignment in Delhi,” the officer added.
The matter came to light on August 17, when three men arrived at Yadav’s Gurugram residence in Sector 56 on a motorcycle and allegedly opened fire before fleeing the scene.
Later, through a post on social media, the Bhau Gang claimed responsibility for the attack on the YouTuber’s residence.
During their investigation, it came out that Gaurav Singh had a prior case registered against him that was linked to the vandalism of a statue in Rajasthan in 2024, while Aditya Tiwari has no previous criminal history. Moreover, a case under the Arms Act has been registered at the Special Cell Police Station, and further probing into this case is underway by the team, the DCP mentioned.
