Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Gujarat from Monday where he will inaugurate and dedicate multiple development projects worth over Rs 5,400 crore to the nation, a release from his office said on Sunday.
The projects span various sectors, including urban development, energy, roads, and railways, and are aimed at boosting the state’s infrastructure and economic growth.

As per his schedule, PM Modi will dedicate multiple railway projects worth over Rs 1,400 crore, including the doubling of the Mehsana-Palanpur rail line and gauge conversion of the Kalol-Kadi-Katosan Road rail line.

He will also inaugurate power distribution projects worth over Rs 1,000 crore in Ahmedabad, Mehsana, and Gandhinagar, aimed at reducing losses and modernising the network, and will inaugurate the development of slums under the PMAY (U) scheme and lay the foundation stone for major road widening projects in Ahmedabad.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will flag off Suzuki’s first global battery electric vehicle, “e VITARA,” for export to over 100 countries and inaugurate the localised production of hybrid battery electrodes at TDS Lithium-Ion Battery plant.
The projects aim to improve connectivity, enhance commuter safety, and accelerate regional development in Gujarat. The initiatives will also boost industrial growth, improve transport efficiency, and generate employment opportunities in the region. The visit highlights the government’s commitment to Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat, with a focus on promoting domestic manufacturing and clean energy innovation.
