The political row over expelled Samajwadi Party MLA Puja Pal has intensified, with former Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Swami Prasad Maurya launching a scathing attack on the BJP.
Maurya alleged that the BJP follows a “use and throw” policy and is projecting Puja Pal merely as a political tool.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, he remarked that just as a fly is thrown out of milk, the BJP would sideline Puja Pal when her utility is over.
He further claimed that the position of backward classes in the BJP is no better than that of slaves.
Maurya also alleged that after the cross-voting episode in the Rajya Sabha elections, the BJP pushed Puja Pal forward for its own benefit.
Turning his criticism towards the Samajwadi Party, he said the party should not have delayed in expelling her.
