Scores of Congress workers gathered at a park and conducted a public meeting. From there, the protesters marched to the Collector office and staged a dharna for about an hour.

MP Congress Chief Jitu Patwari, Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, former minister Sukhdev Panse and other leaders were present during the protest. The protesters sat outside the Collector’s office demanding that the official receive a memorandum from them.

However, the Collector did not meet the protesters and other officials of the police and district administration asked the Congress leaders to hand over the memorandum to them.

Nonetheless, the Congress leaders remained adamant that they would give the memorandum only to the Collector.

But when the Collector did not come to take the memorandum even after about an hour, the irate Congress leaders tied the piece of paper with their demands to the neck of a stray dog.
