Chairman/CEC, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh, Tashi Gyalson, Wednesday, felicitated Rinchen Youdol for her remarkable achievement of winning a Gold Medal in the Para Poomsae Individual Female Senior P34 Category at the 2025 Junior, Cadet & Para Asian Taekwondo Championships held in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

The championship saw participation from 12 countries, making her victory a proud milestone for Ladakh.
During the felicitation ceremony, CEC Gyalson congratulated Rinchen for scripting history as the first athlete from Ladakh to secure an international gold medal in Para Taekwondo. He praised her determination, courage, and hard work, calling her a “symbol of hope and strength for every young dreamer from the mountains of Ladakh.”

As a token of appreciation, the CEC presented financial assistance to Rinchen and assured her of the Council’s full support in her future sporting endeavours.

Rinchen’s proud mother, Stanzin Angmo, accompanied by Councillor Padma Dorjey, expressed heartfelt gratitude to CEC and LAHDC Leh for the encouragement and support extended to her daughter, which she said would further motivate her to achieve even greater success.

Gyalson reaffirmed that LAHDC Leh is committed to encouraging and assisting talented athletes who bring pride to Ladakh and the nation.
