The spotlight in Jaipur shone bright on August 18, when Rajasthan’s Manika Vishwakarma was crowned Miss Universe India 2025. The evening was nothing short of magical as the young woman from Sri Ganganagar walked away with the country’s most prestigious beauty title.

She will now represent India at the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand this November.

The ceremony reached its peak when Rhea Singha, last year’s winner, placed the crown on Manika’s head in a glittering handover.

Tanya Sharma from Uttar Pradesh won the first runner-up, while Mehak Dhingra from Haryana and Amishi Kaushik followed as second and third runner-ups.

Born in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, and now studying in Delhi, she is in her final year of Political Science and Economics. Her success at the national level comes after she earlier won the Miss Universe Rajasthan 2024 title, which opened doors to the bigger platform.

But Manika Vishwakarma is not just about beauty and stage presence. She is a trained classical dancer and an accomplished painter, with her work recognized at respected institutions like the Lalit Kala Academy and JJ School of Arts.

She is also the founder of Neuronova, an initiative that seeks to change the way people talk about neurodivergence. Through this project, she highlights conditions like ADHD.

Speaking about her win, Manika shared an emotional message: “My journey started from my hometown, Ganganagar. I came to Delhi and prepared for the competition. We need to inculcate confidence and courage in ourselves. Everyone played a big role in this. I thank all those who helped me and made me what I am today. Competition is not just a field, it is a world of its own which builds the character of a person.”

With the Thailand stage waiting, Manika now steps into an even bigger spotlight.
