Amid the Opposition’s agitation aganst the SIR exercise in Bihar, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday wondered ever since the BJP government came to power, no officer has been removed in Uttar Pradesh on the basis of complaint during elections.
Whereas during the Samajwadi government’s rule, many officers were removed during elections. This means that the Election Commission listens more to BJP’s words. If we complain to the Election Commission, no action is taken.

Speaking to the media in the Parliament premises on Monday, Akhilesh Yadav said that the Election Commission works on the instructions of the BJP.
“BJP’s Chhibramau MLA had got four hundred fake votes at his booth. The Election Commission should see why BJP people get more votes at their booths,” he questioned.
He said that Samajwadi Party complained about many officers from general elections to by-elections but no action was taken. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and before the 2017 assembly elections, any officer against whom the BJP complained during the elections was transferred. During the BJP government, the opposition kept complaining during the elections but the officers were not removed. There are written documents of all this.
Akhilesh Yadav said that what was seen in the by-elections in Uttar Pradesh had never happened before. In the by-elections, there was not a simple theft of votes but robbery. In the assembly constituency where the BJP lost the 2022 elections, how did it get 77 percent votes in the by-elections.
He said that the Election Commission had given us a notice. Within the notice period, we took the help of our workers and got 18,000 affidavits made in a short time. If no action is taken after giving 18,000 affidavits, then who will trust the Election Commission. We hope that the Election Commission will take action against the officers given by the Samajwadi Party and will also direct the government to take action against them.
Referring to various assembly constituencies, Akhikesh Yadav said that Samajwadi Party lost the elections by a very small margin in Kursi, Shahganj, Chhibramau, Shravasti and Madiyaun. If we look at the deleted votes there, they were more. The votes of the people who had cast their votes in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections were deleted in the 2022 assembly elections.
He said that our demand is that a district magistrate should be suspended then only vote theft will stop in the entire country. He said that when BJP wins the election, it shows that it is getting backward votes, whereas the truth is that votes were deleted.
