Vinita Srivastava new DRM of Asansol division

Vinita Srivastava, an Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) of 1994 batch, SCRA 1991, has assumed the charge of divisional railway manager (DRM), Asansol Division of Eastern Railway today. She is the first ever woman DRM of Asansol Division, the most profitable freight loading division of Eastern Railway.

Prior to joining as DRM/Asansol, Ms Srivastava was on deputation with the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).

She has joined as DRM of Asansol at a very crucial time when most of the smaller stations of Asansol Division has been undergoing a revamp and also the Asansol station will be completely revamped completely like an airport.

With a number of industry and coal mines in the surrounding areas, Asansol Division has remained a leader on freight loading of Indian Railways since decades with coal, steel, cement and other finished and raw materials transportations.
