The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Sikkim, held a key coordination meeting with representatives of political parties on Tuesday to discuss the upcoming special intensive revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls, in line with the Election Commission of India’s directives.

The meeting, part of the regular monthly interaction, focused on preparatory work underway at the DEO and ERO levels, with special attention to the rationalisation of polling stations. Officials highlighted that efforts are being made to ensure no polling station exceeds 1,200 electors, with new buildings being identified as needed and additional booth level officers (BLOs) to be appointed accordingly.
