Two bodies found in city

Two male bodies were recovered on Tuesday from two separate places in the city, triggering curiosity behind the incidents.

The first body was found lying mysteriously on Sarat Bose Road in the Kalighat police station area while the second was in Cossipore in north Kolkata.

Identities of the two deceased have not yet been confirmed.

According to police sources, the body of an unknown person was spotted on the footpath along Sarat Bose Road. Blood stains were also found scattered close to the body.

Police are verifying CCTV cameras installed in the area to get more clues in connection with the incident.

In another incident, a male body was found lying under a multi-storied building in Cossipore police station area this morning.

Police investigating the case have not yet confirmed the reasons behind his death. The body has been sent to the police morgue for post-mortem.

Preliminary investigations revealed that he might have fallen from a floor of the high-rise building and died on the spot.

In both cases, police await the post-mortem reports of the two deaths.
