The Delhi government is set to organize a grand Teej Mela in the national capital with the aim of promoting women empowerment, cultural richness, and community harmony.
The festival, to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, will take place from July 25 to 27 at the Dilli Haat, in North West Delhi’s Pitampura.

The CM stated that the mela would be a celebration of India’s cultural heritage, the strength of women, and traditional arts — offering something special for every generation.
To make the 2025 Teej Mahotsav truly exceptional, the venue will be decked out with theme-based decor, and the entire space will reflect the traditional festival, featuring 3D entry gates, colorful chandeliers, buntings, hanging lights, LED and spot lighting.
On the evening of 25 July, a grand celebrity night will be held, featuring performances by popular artists.
Throughout the three days, the fair will be adorned with folk dances, folk music, magic shows, and cultural performances, enhancing its festive spirit, CM shared.
Gupta added that around 80 stalls will be set up to showcase traditional arts and crafts, featuring handicrafts, ethnic wear, bangles, block printing, embroidery, mehndi, and traditional foods.
Various competitions and stage performances will also be organized to encourage women’s participation, including events such as mehndi, rangoli, bindi decoration, Teej Queen, Teej quiz, and slogan writing contests.
On July 27, a special “Women in Green” fashion walk will be hosted, culminating in the selection of Miss Teej 2025.
For women, the fair will feature swings and fun activities throughout the day, along with workshops focused on women empowerment, health, and social issues.
Special focus will be on entertainment for families and children, with a dedicated kids’ zone featuring interactive and educational activities, storytelling, magic shows, and games.
Gupta has stated that this year’s Teej Mahotsav will be celebrated across Delhi with traditional fervor, cultural dignity, and grandeur, adding that her greatest strength is the trust of the people, especially the women who see her as their representative and a medium through which they realize their dreams and rights.
The CM has emphasized that she fully understands how each of her decisions and initiatives impacts women’ self-confidence, dignity, and participation in society.c
