Barapullah phase 3 will be ready by June 30, says Verma after inspection of the project
Delhi’s PWD Minister Parvesh Verma on Tuesday reviewed work at the Barapullah Phase- 3, one of the key road infrastructure projects in the city.

In response, the Minister directed the concerned officials to address each issue on a priority basis and to submit an action-taken report within a stipulated timeframe.

Verma also highlighted visible improvements in the area and pointed out that in previous years, Jor Bagh used to face severe waterlogging during the monsoon season. However, he noted that the situation has now improved significantly.

He stated that there was no waterlogging this year, thanks to the timely desilting of drains. He added that proactive pruning in parks and the maintenance of road infrastructure also contributed to the improvement.
“All of this was possible because we worked proactively and with accountability,” the Minister added.
He further assured residents that such proactive governance would continue across the constituency, particularly in areas where the public has demonstrated greater civic responsibility.
The Minister reaffirmed his department’s commitment to transparency, responsiveness, and public participation.
“Where the public shows faith in the system, the system must respond with dedication,” he emphasized.
The visit also acknowledged Jor Bagh’s record-setting voter turnout in the recent elections.
Accompanied by senior officials of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and the Public Works Department (PWD), Verma held an interactive session with local residents to understand their grievances and assure them of swift resolution.
