The Chief Minister stressed the importance of regular crime pattern tracking at every police station and called for prompt responses to any rise in criminal activity. He made it clear that accountability should be enforced not only at the district level but also at individual police stations.
Saini declared that negligence in crime control would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He urged the police to leverage technology for real-time crime reporting and analysis to make the system more efficient and responsive. He reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety.
Taking serious note of recent ransom and extortion incidents, the Chief Minister ordered immediate and stringent action. He instructed the police to deal with such cases on a war footing and ensure the harshest punishment for offenders. “The police must remain vigilant so that every citizen feels safe and protected,” he said.
Underscoring the safety of women and girl students, Saini directed regular police inspections of schools and colleges, particularly girls’ institutions. He asked officers to interact with students to spread awareness and prevent untoward incidents. Special patrolling during dispersal hours of educational institutions was also mandated.
Officials informed the Chief Minister that police have identified sensitive hotspots and routes based on inputs from working women and students. These areas now have heightened police presence and reinforced security arrangements. The CM called for regular reviews and timely upgrades to ensure women feel completely safe.
Saini ordered intensified patrolling in markets and crowded areas, especially during peak hours. Sensitive spots must be routinely assessed, and additional police deployment ensured as required. He also instructed the deployment of the ‘Durga Shakti Force’ for added protection of women.
Addressing the drug menace, the Chief Minister stressed strict action against both supply and consumption of narcotics. Specific officers will now be held accountable at the district level. He reiterated the state’s vision of a ‘Drug-Free Haryana’ and directed swift prosecution in drug-related cases.
To improve public confidence in the police, the Chief Minister directed all Superintendents of Police to strictly prohibit alcohol consumption by police personnel on duty or in uniform. Any violations would attract the severest action. “The police exist to serve and protect, and indiscipline will not be tolerated,” he asserted.
Chief Principal Secretary to the CM, Rajesh Khullar, announced that extortion cells will be established in every district. These special teams will conduct thorough investigations into such crimes and ensure fast-track action against offenders.
Dr Sumita Misra, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), instructed all SPs to immediately issue receipts or copies of complaints to citizens visiting police stations.
She also emphasized regular station inspections by senior officers and direct community engagement to boost public trust. She further directed continuous monitoring of crimes, especially those against women and cases registered under the NDPS Act. Investigations must be impartial, time-bound, and aimed at ensuring swift justice.
