Actor Dhanush has officially kicked off the shoot for his next film, tentatively titled ‘D54’, and the excitement among fans is palpable.
The project is being helmed by ‘Por Thozhil’ fame Vignesh Raja.

The journey began on Friday with a traditional pooja ceremony attended by the core team, including Dhanush himself, producer Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh, and director Vignesh Raja.
The event, organised by production house Vels Film International, was full of positive energy and warm smiles as the team offered prayers.
Photos from the ceremony were shared by the production team on Instagram, featuring Dhanush posing with the film’s poster alongside the director and producer.

Another highlight from the event was the surprise appearance of acclaimed filmmaker Vetrimaaran, the man behind Dhanush’s critically acclaimed film ‘Asuran’.
Music for the film will be in composition of GV Prakash Kumar, a long-time collaborator of Dhanush. While other details like the film’s title, genre, and cast are still under wraps.
Meanwhile, Dhanush has just wrapped up shooting for ‘Tere Ishk Mein’, the spiritual sequel to ‘Raanjhanaa’. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the film pairs him opposite Kriti Sanon and brings back the trusted creative team of writer Himanshu Sharma, composer AR Rahman, and lyricist Irshad Kamil.
‘Tere Ishk Mein’ has backing of Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Colour Yellow Productions and is ready for a theatrical release on November 28, 2025.
