Hunter season 2: Suniel Shetty returns with a vengeance, Jackie Shroff joins as villain

Suniel Shetty is back as the no-nonsense cop Vikram, and this time, he’s not just chasing criminals. He’s chasing justice for his daughter. The teaser for ‘Hunter Season 2’, officially titled ‘Hunter: Tootega Nahi Todega’, has just dropped. And it’s every bit as explosive as fans hoped.

But the real twist? Jackie Shroff joins the party. And, he’s not on the good side.

Shared by Shetty himself on Instagram, the teaser delivers a storm of adrenaline with a gritty chase that stretches from the chaos of Mumbai to the exotic streets of Thailand.

The caption read, “Ek baar phir ladega, phodega, aur todega.. #Hunter S2 Coming this July for FREE only on Amazon MX Player.”

We see Vikram at his most vulnerable, his daughter is caught in danger, and the once-retired hero seems worn down and broken.

But then enters Jackie Shroff’s character, known only as “Salesman”, a smooth-talking, unpredictable antagonist. That encounter flips a switch in Vikram.

Talking about his return, Suniel Shetty shared, “Season 1 was special. It was about building a world and finding Vikram’s rhythm. But Season 2? It’s personal. Vikram has nothing to lose now. He’s a father first, a cop second. This story took a lot out of me emotionally, and I think that will show on screen.”

For Jackie Shroff, the role of Salesman was a delicious change of pace. “I was immediately drawn to him,” Shroff said. “He’s smart, unpredictable, and there’s always a sense that he’s five steps ahead. It’s the kind of role that keeps you on your toes. And facing off against Anna [Suniel Shetty] again, but as rivals, was an absolute blast. This season isn’t just about action. It’s got heart, conflict, and some real moral grey zones.”

Directed by Prince Dhiman and Alok Batra, ‘Hunter Season 2’ is produced by Yoodlee Films, the cinematic wing of Saregama India.

Apart from the two powerhouse leads, the series also features Anusha Dandekar and Barkha Bisht in pivotal roles.
