Army chief visits Poonch, felicitates veteran Subedar who served with him
During the visit, the Army chief also stopped at Kamsar village in Poonch, where he met Subedar (Honorary Captain) Parvez Ahmed (Retired) of 18 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles.
At least 14 people were injured on Sunday in a road accident in Jammu and LKashmir’s Poonch district.
Officials said that the driver of a van lost control over the wheel at Keri in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district.

“The vehicle, which was overloaded, dropped into a gorge injuring 14 people.

“The injured include 13 minors and one major person. The injured were admitted to Mendhar sub-district hospital from where two injured were referred to the government medical college hospital in Rajouri town,” officials said.
