A man was detained by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) at Jaipur airport, police said Monday.
Mohammad Hussain, a resident of Kuchaman city of Rajasthan’s Nagaur district, was detained on Sunday evening after he arrived here from Dubai.

“There was a lookout notice against him and on information by the immigration officials, a team of NIA detained him under the unlawful activities prevention act on Sunday evening and took him to Delhi,” a senior police official said.

Strict surveillance has been imposed across all border areas of South and North 24 Parganas in West Bengal.
The NIA has claimed the Faridabad module built an explosives network in Lucknow and prepared for coordinated attacks targeting key institutions and crowded locations.
Following the recovery of 79 crude bombs and other incriminating materials in West Bengal, the Election Commission of India has directed the deployment of NIA sleuths to prevent the use of crude bombs to disrupt the polling.
