In the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2018 at Gold Coast in Australia, Indian mixed-badminton team have done exceptionally good so far.
The Indian side blanked its opponent 5-0 in the group stages and won the quarterfinal with 3-0 and the semi-final by 3-1.

However, their most impressive performance came against Malaysia in the final of the mixed-badminton on Monday.
From India, Satwik Rankireddy and Ashwini Ponnappa were the first to go as India took on Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying of Malaysia in mixed doubles in the first round.
And the duo did not disappoint as they won the mixed doubles match with 21-14, 21-14, 21-15 and took 1-0 lead in the final.
After the mixed doubles, World Number 2 Kidambi Srikanth took charge of the Indian side in men’s single against Malaysia’s Chong Lee. And once again, Srikanth gave a thrilling show to viewers as he thrashed his opponent 21-17, 21-14.
With Srikanth’s win, India have taken the lead of 2-0 in the mixed badminton.
