On Sunday, the much awaited Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 teaser got leaked online. Prior to the announcement of the release date for the teaser, somebody leaked a clip of it on the social media.
The video of the teaser is speculated to be captured in London or Dubai during the public screening and thereafter released on the internet. Earlier, Rajinikanth’s another film Kaala had met the same fate. Even before the makers could release the original teaser of the film, it was available online. However, to handle the situation, the teaser was then immediately released by the filmmakers. But this couldn’t be done in case of 2.0 since the CGI effects are yet unfinished.

Reacting to the incident, superstar’s daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth tweeted: “Leaking content online before the official release not be tolerated or encouraged. This is a heartless act ignoring hard work, efforts and sentiments of the makers for few seconds of excitement.”

The release date of 2.0 has reportedly been pushed from 27 April to 15 August.
