Facing the Japanese shuttler third time in a row, Sindhu failed to repeat what she did to win Korea Open on Sunday.
Okuhara defeated the 22-year-old Indian in straight games 18-21, 8-21 in a swift 47-minute clash.
Starting the game confidently, the Hyderabadi girl was leading 11-9 in start but then lost her focus to go down 18-16 to Okuhara.
Sindhu went further out of line in the second game to bow out early.
