Govt monitoring incidents of attacks on Indians in US: Sushma

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday condemned the recent attacks on Indians in the US and said the government is closely monitoring the situation there.

"The government has raised the issue with the American authorities and have demanded a speedy investigation. American authorities have assured strong actions in these incidents," Swaraj said while making a statement on the issue in Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

"The safety and security of Indians is the top priority of the government," she said, adding, US authorities including President Donald Trump have strongly condemned these incidents.

Indian techie, Srinivas Kuchibhotla, 32, was killed and Alok Madasani was injured when a man who earlier served in the US Navy, shot them in Kansas last month.
