US President Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address on Tuesday night was packed with big claims, blunt warnings, and headline-grabbing lines. From Iran’s nuclear ambitions to immigration and tariffs, the US President used the speech to double down on his policies and project confidence about America’s direction.
The address was delivered under the theme ‘America at 250: Strong, Prosperous and Respected’.

On Iran: “They are again pursuing their sinister ambitions…They want to make a deal, but we haven’t heard those secret words, We will never build a nuclear weapon.”

On diplomacy vs force: “My preference is to solve this problem through diplomacy. But one thing is certain, I will never allow the world’s number one sponsor of terror, which they are by far, to have a nuclear weapon. Can’t happen.”
On Iran’s missile capability: “They have already developed missiles that can threaten Europe and our bases overseas, and they are working to build missiles that will soon reach the United States of America.”
On Russia-Ukraine war: “Working hard to end the 9th war Russia and Ukraine, a war which would never have happened if I had been president.”
On immigration enforcement: “In the past nine months, zero illegal aliens have been admitted to the United States.”
On economic turnaround: “Tonight, after just one year, I can say with dignity and pride that we have achieved a transformation like no one has ever seen before, and a turnaround for the ages.”
