‘Perturbed’ with Netanyahu, Trump says he wants to meet Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei
Trump said that he was "perturbed" at Netanyahu's military escalation in Lebanon.
“Just as the United States suffered a historic defeat in trying to open the Strait of Hormuz, it is also doomed to fail in the naval blockade,” Mohsen Rezaei said in a televised address, reported Iranian state media.
In a stern warning to the United States over US Navy’s blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei’s Military adviser, Mohsen Rezaei, on Thursday warned that Iranian launchers are locked on US warships and they all will be sunken if the Islamic Republic is threatened directly.
According to Iran’s state media Press TV, Rezaei said, “Pressure must increase. Our launchers are now locked on the warships, and we will sink them all.”

“Just as the United States suffered a historic defeat in trying to open the Strait of Hormuz, it is also doomed to fail in the naval blockade,” he said in a televised address, according to Press TV.
He further claimed that Tehran possessed “major untapped leverage” to respond.
His remarks came against the backdrop of increased diplomatic efforts to seek a permanent end to the US and Iran war.
A delegation from Pakistan, which has been acting as a mediator in talks between the US and Iran to end the war, arrived in Tehran on Wednesday.
The Pakistani delegation comprised country’s Army Chief Asim Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
According to Iranian state media, the delegation has arrived to convey a message from the United States and discuss the second round of meetings after the first round talks in Islamabad last week ended in a stalemate.
This diplomatic push in Tehran comes as US President Donald Trump indicated that, while he is not considering extending the ongoing two-week ceasefire, a negotiated settlement remains the preferred path.
The US and Iran held direct negotiations on April 11-12 in Islamabad but the meeting failed to yield any results. The second round of talks is expected to be held later this but there was no immediate confirmation from either side.
