Ocasio-Cortez, who said it was “surreal” to see her name on a ballot for the House of Representatives, showed her gratitude on Tuesday to voters in supporting her.

“It’s something very special, it’s a very exciting moment for me and for my mom. I was born in this neighbourhood and voting and having my name in this role is incredible. There are no words,” declared the Democratic candidate of Puerto Rican origin who just turned 29 last month.
