Go Hard or Go Home: Iran-Tump trade taunts of ‘like never before’ hits
Tensions are escalating in the Middle East as Iran launches missile and drone attacks on US and Israeli bases. US president Trump has issued a stern warning, signaling a possible unprecedented US response.
US President Donald Trump has posted strong warning to Iran on his social media platform, Truth Social. He wrote that Iran’s threat to “hit very hard today, harder than they have ever been hit before” should not be carried out.
Trump added that if Iran attacks, the US will respond with “force that has never been seen before.”
This statement comes amid escalating tensions in the Middle East as Iran announces further retaliation for recent US and Israeli strikes.
Iran launches missile and drone attacks
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed that it has carried out a sixth wave of attacks in response to the US and Israeli bombardments. According to Iranian state media, these operations targeted 27 US military bases in the region.
Iran also said it struck key Israeli locations. That includes the Tel Nof Airbase, the Israeli army’s command headquarters at HaKirya in Tel Aviv, and a major defence industrial complex in the same city. The attacks reportedly involved both missiles and drones.
Rising tensions between Iran and Israel have triggered widespread airspace closures across West Asia, forcing Indian airlines to suspend several Gulf-bound flights and reroute international services due to safety concerns.
The IRGC warned that it plans to continue “different and harsh steps of revenge, with successive, regrettable slaps.”
Khamenei no more
State news agencies in Iran have reported the deaths of several top officials in the country. Among those confirmed killed are Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, described as a “martyr,” Ali Shamkhani, a senior political adviser and secretary of Iran’s Defence Council, and Mohammad Pakpour, commander-in-chief of the IRGC.
Following the rise in tensions in West Asia and the Gulf region, India, calling the developments a matter of utmost concern to the international community on Monday, reiterated its call for immediate de-escalation of the conflict.
The Indian Embassy has reiterated its advisory for Iran, asking citizens to avoid travel and urging those already in the country to leave through available transport routes.
Israel activated its air defence systems after detecting a projectile from Yemen, while fresh strikes in Iran and diplomatic efforts added to regional uncertainty.
