Brahmakumaris launched a national campaign under the banner of Krushak Sashaktikaran Abhijan from 91 locations of the country to train and socially, morally, economically empower farmers.
The issues were discussed elaborately at a workshop on farmers empowerment programme here over the last two days with focus on soil testing, training to farmers, maximum production with minimum investment, organic farming and impact of Raj Yoga on crop cultivation, boosting farmers confidence through positive thinking.
The department of agriculture and Regional Institution of Training on Extension (RITE). The Abhijan coordinator B K Asmita and B K Usha spoke on the importance of farmers empowerment programme. Deputy director of A griculture Chchabindra Behera, Plant protection officer Gununidhi Behera and staff, agriculture scientists participated.
Another workshop was held separately for Farmers at the RITE. Earlier the national team abhijan rally reached Dhenkanal and moved around the town for promoting awareness.
The rally team members have met farmers in Odapada block, Sadar block and other areas in the district to instill confidence amongst them and make them value their hard work.
The programme was launched under the banner of the Akhil Bharatiya Krushak Sashakatikaran Abhijan by Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Iswariya Viswavidyalaya.The Abhijan rally had started from Delhi in September.
