A Bangladesh Air Force F7 jet crashed into a school building on Monday afternoon, leaving at least one person dead and several others injured.
According to Bangladeshi media reports, the aircraft crashed near Milestone School and College in Uttara. The building where the jet crashed was reportedly being used for playgroup classes. The plane crashed shortly after the classes had ended.

Emergency response teams, including fire services and Civil Defence, were at the scene carrying out a rescue operation.

Videos on social media captured the aftermath of the crash. One of them shows several people being rescued with injuries.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Local authorities have alerted the hospitals in the area to remain on standby to deal with the situation.
According to Deputy Police Commissioner of DMP’s Uttara Division, Mohidul Islam, the aircraft that crashed was used for training purposes.
