Apple iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus launching in India on September 29, price starts Rs. 64,000
Apple has confirmed that the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be launching on September 29, pre-order starts alongside the U.S. from September 15.

As expected, Apple has finally launched the all new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus smartphones, alongside the 10th anniversary special edition ‘iPhone X’.
The iPhone 8 is priced at starting $699 for the U.S. market. Apple has ditched the base 32GB variant as well as the 128GB model, and now the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be available in two storage options only – the 64GB and 256GB variants. The iPhone 8 Plus 64GB variant will cost $799. The other two 256GB models of the new iPhones will be available for $849 and $949 respectively.

While India is not in the first phase of release, Apple has confirmed that the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be launching on September 29, as a part of the second phase release.

What’s new in iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus?
The new iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus can be considered as incremental upgrade over the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The form factor and the design is very much similar to its predecessors, but there are some improvements.
Apple has replaced the back metal panel with a glass, and now the iPhone 8, 8 Plus support wireless/ induction charging.
New iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are powered by A11 Bionic prcessor from Apple. It’s a 64-bit six-core processors, which according to company is handles 70 percent faster multithread workloads than the previous generation A10 SoC.

The iPhone 8 has a new and improved 12MP camera with new colour filter, quad-LED True Tone Flash. The front facing selfie camera is a 7MP f/2.2 shooter with Retina Flash and full-HD (1080p) video recording.
The iPhone 8 Plus features similar but improved dual 12MP rear camera like the iPhone 7 Plus. However, the front facing selfie camera will be same as the iPhone 8.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be up for pre-order in the U.S. and few other countries, including India, starting September 15. Both new iPhones will be available in India from September 29 at a starting price of Rs. 64,000 for the 64GB model. These will be available in Gold, Silver and Space Gray colour options.
