Senior Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena leader Sushma Andhare on Monday questioned when Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde would be examined by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with the godman “Captain” Ashok Kharat case.
“Since the original complainant, BJP leader Praveen Darekar was not present, the hearing of the case will be held on March 10, when Darekar and those accused will record their testimonies,” Privileges Committee Chairman and BJP leader Prasad Lad said.
The Privileges Committee of the Maharashtra state Legislative Council on Wednesday issued summons to controversial stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra and Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena leader Sushma Andhare for allegedly making "insulting" remarks against Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde in March 2025.
