The top court registered the suo motu case over "Alleged Institutional Bias and Procedural Discrepancies in the Unnatural Death of a Young Woman at her Matrimonial Home".
As per the causelist published on the website of the apex court, the five senior most judges of the Supreme Court will hear the suo motu matter in a special sitting on Saturday.
National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Friday took suo motu cognisance of reports of an alleged abuse of minor girls at a shelter home in Tamil Nadu and issued notices to the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police calling for a detailed report in the matter within four weeks.
