The agency further submitted before the court that simultaneous investigations were underway in different parts of the country and custodial interrogation was necessary to trace the wider network and recover additional evidence.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday said the teacher, identified as Manisha Gurunath Mandhare, was allegedly part of a larger network that facilitated access to questions later found in the cancelled NEET-UG 2026 examination held on May 3.
NTA announced that the decision to cancel the NEET was taken after examining inputs received from Central agencies and law enforcement authorities regarding alleged irregularities in the examination process.
This comes after reports of a possible paper leak came from Rajasthan after the NEET-UG 2026 examination held on May 3. The Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) had launched an investigation into the allegations.
