Organised by the National Book Trust, India (Ministry of Education) in association with the Government of Goa, Samarth Yuva Foundation, and Lokmanya Cultural Foundation, the festival promises a five-day celebration of books, ideas and culture.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said that the book fair is not merely an event but a celebration of thinking, of new ideas and new behaviour.
The entry to the book fair has been made free of cost for the first time.
