Addressing a Press conference, senior leaders Dr Daljit Singh Cheema and Maheshinder Singh Grewal said Lalpura held a Constitutional post and was supposed to protect the interest of minorities.
The Commission also had a joint meeting with representatives of both the communities and advised them to conduct Aman Committee meetings regularly.
According to the annual report of the Commission, out of 1,670 complaints, 816 were received from Uttar Pradesh alone, while a total of 146 complaints were received from Delhi.
As per the information, over 500 cases are pending before the National Commission for Minorities.
The minority panel chief said filing the review petition would send a message to the Hindus that they were trying to put roadblocks in the way of building the Ram temple.
