Following the electoral victory that secured a second successive term, AINRC president and Chief Minister designate N Rangasamy has reportedly decided to contain the BJP by scaling down its representation in the ministry to one post, in addition to the Deputy Speaker’s post.
Vote counting in Puducherry shows a clear trend in favour of the NDA, with AINRC gaining ground and key constituencies delivering decisive verdicts as margins widen across the region.
The first result of the counting process in Puducherry came from Thattanchavady constituency, where early trends quickly turned into a confirmed win. N Rangasamy of AINRC secured a comfortable lead over his opponents.
The Election Commission recently announced polls for the vacant Rajya Sabha seats from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Meanwhile, it is the people of Puducherry who are hit hard despite having given a decisive victory to the NDA alliance.
