Exit poll of Aaj Tak-Axis My India has predicted that the AAP is likely to get 149-171 wards while another exit poll by Times Now-ETG has predicted that the AAP may get anywhere between 146 and 156 wards.
The State Election Commission said that the polling for 250 seats was held peacefully. The results of the polls will be declared on December 7.
In the last MCD polls in 2017, the BJP won 181 of the 270 wards.
Mahabal Mishra, a strong Purvanchal leader of the Congress, is the father of AAP MLA from Dwarka, Vinay Mishra.
The elections for 250-ward MCD will be held on December 4 while the counting of votes will be done on December 7.
Since the ten-point manifesto focuses on civic and local issues, the announcement of the elections may usher in truly civic polls that address local concerns.
