Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday urged the nation to extend financial assistance to flood-ravaged Punjab, which is facing its worst floods in 37 years.
On the direction of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the Kullu district administration evacuated five patients from Stingri in Lahaul-Spiti on Thursday to the district hospital in Kullu for providing them immediate medical care.
The issue was raised earlier by Chamba Congress MLA Neeraj Nayar, Churah BJP MLA Dr Hans Raj and Dalhousie BJP MLA D S Thakur, who demanded urgent and large-scale measures to deal with the situation.
