The Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the Sabarimala gold heist, on Friday moved the Kerala High Court seeking cancellation of the bail granted to Sabarimala Thantri Kandararu Rajeevaru who is arrayed as an accused in the case.
Vasu appeared for the interrogation at around 10.30 am on Tuesday at the ED Office in Kochi. The Central agency is probing into potential money laundering linked to the Sabarimala gold theft case.
Accepting the argument that the Thantri only has tantric powers, the court said prima facie there is no evidence at this stage to prove that Thantri is directly linked to the Sabarimala gold robbery.
The court granted bail to Baiju in the case related to the alleged gold loss from the doorframes of the Sreekovil (sanctum sanctorum).
Potty was granted bail in the case pertaining to the alleged theft of gold from the door frames of the sanctum sanctorum of the temple after the SIT failed to file its charge sheet within 90 days of his arrest.
