Karnataka govt withdraws 2022 school uniform order, allows students to wear rudraksha, ‘janeu’ and hijab

"The government order issued in this regard specifically mentions turbans, sacred threads, Shiva beads, Rudraksha, headscarves/hijabs and similar commonly worn religious symbols as permissible," said Karnataka Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa.
